Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit casalmareincoronata.eu and when you get in touch with us. It is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.
1. Data controller
Casa al Mare dell’Incoronata, Regione Torbora, 1, 17026 Noli (SV), Italy, info@casalmareincoronata.eu
2. No cookies
This website uses no cookies and no other technology that stores or reads information on your device. That is why no consent is needed and no cookie banner is shown.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website, including its images, videos and fonts, is hosted on the servers of Aruba S.p.A. in Italy, which also runs our email. On every visit the server automatically records the technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the response status, browser type and operating system. These data are only used to run the website and keep it secure, are not linked to identified persons and are kept only as long as these purposes require.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering a working and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Map
The interactive map showing where Casa al Mare is located uses maps by CARTO (CartoDB Inc., United States), delivered through the Fastly network. To show the map, your browser loads its tiles directly from CARTO’s servers, which therefore receive your IP address, technical data about your browser and the area of the map you are viewing. CARTO does not set any cookies.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing where the hotel is and how to get there (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data are transferred to the United States on the basis of CARTO’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where that does not apply, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. More information in CARTO’s privacy policy.
5. Weather forecast
The weather forecast for Noli shown next to the map is provided by OpenWeather Ltd (United Kingdom). Your browser requests it directly from OpenWeather’s servers, which therefore receive your IP address; the request itself only contains the hotel’s coordinates. According to OpenWeather, IP addresses and browser data are not stored for these requests.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in letting guests know the expected weather (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The United Kingdom is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. More information in OpenWeather’s privacy policy.
6. Enquiries and bookings
If you send us an enquiry through the form, we process the data you enter: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), number of adults and children, arrival and departure dates, preferred board, any notes and how you heard about us. The data are sent to our booking address by email and are not stored in any database on the website. The same applies to data you give us by writing to our email addresses directly or by phone, including those of the people travelling with you.
We use these data only to answer your enquiry and, if a booking follows, to handle it, to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations and, where necessary, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract and the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interest in protecting our rights and in knowing how guests find us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The required fields of the form are needed for us to reply; without them the enquiry cannot be sent. We keep the data as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, if a booking follows, for the periods required by tax and accounting law or needed to protect our rights. We do not pass them on to third parties unless required by law.
7. How data are processed
Data are processed electronically, lawfully, fairly and transparently, and are protected by appropriate security measures (Art. 32 GDPR).
8. Links to other websites
This policy only covers this website. Links to other websites, including our Facebook and Instagram profiles, are plain links: no data are sent to these websites until you open them, and from then on their own privacy policies apply.
9. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have in particular the right to:
- obtain confirmation of whether your personal data are being processed, and access to them (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict the processing of your data (Art. 18);
- receive the data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and transmit them to another controller (Art. 20);
- object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21).
To exercise these rights, simply write to info@casalmareincoronata.eu.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, www.garanteprivacy.it, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
